Since Thanksgiving, my parents flew up here in late November to celebrate the following birthdays: Scott (Big 40!), Peggy (older than Scott) and mine (younger than Scott).
The kids had fun spending time with Grandama Peggy and Grandpa Milty. We are still eating teh grapefruit that they brought up. While they were here, we went to the Macy's Auditorium (to see the Nutcracker) and did some shopping. The temps in Minnesota were much colder than Florida. Grandpa Milty has Florida blood now (he's always cold :)

Brooke skiing for the first time down our driveway. She's a natural.
We received this beautiful menorah from the parents for Hannukah. The kids enjoyed lighting the candles every night.

On December 21st, we got together with Scott, Angie and Ali for our holiday celebration since we go to Appleton each year. The kids wanted to make Scott a special pie and had to take baths after making it.
We finally made it out of town to Appleton on Dec 24th. We were planning on leaving on December 23rd but a huge blizzard came through and hit the central part of Wisconsin (where we were planning to drive through). We made it to Appleton in time to go to X-Mas Church Service. The kids did OK sitting through the service. Afterward, we went back to Grandma Carol's place for a ham dinner.
The next morning, the kids opened their gifts (lots of them). Now we need to get a bigger house. Brooke recieved Little Mermaid and Dora toys while Riley enjoyed the cars, trucks and animals.
During our visit, we did get an opportunity to spend some time with my ex-roommates Pat and Mark and their families. the kids had a great time playing together. We headed back on Dec 27th.
Riley was riding in style on the way home with watching his videos!

Over the next few days, we spent time with the kids, brought them to the Minnesota Children's Museum, went out for dinner with Bob and Loree at Carbone's, went ice skating, took down the decorations and just chilled out before returning to work today.
