This morning Brooke decided she needed to be "Hula Minnie". She dug out her "bra" and her grass skirt and her Minnie ears. It was quite an outfit for a chilly January morning. Below is Riley's latest position for watching tv--upside down! What a bunch of crazy kids! 
Eric had the day off on Monday for MLK Day so we took the kids to the Science Museum in Saint Paul. It was fun although a lot of the stuff was a little too advanced for our kids. Here is Riley on a giant hand.

Eric took both kids cross county skiing this Sunday. He took them separately which was probably a good idea! Here is Riley on his skis and below is Brooke with her friend, Julia. Eric works with Julia's dad and they met at Cleary Lake.

We went to Winter Blast at Lakefront Park in Prior Lake on Saturday. It was kind of chilly so we were thankful for the activities in the warming house as well as the outdoor activities. We went for a wagon ride pulled by horses, the kids had pony rides, we listened to The Teddy Bear Band, had donuts and hot chocolate and made a snowman craft project. It was a pretty busy morning. Riley is all smiles on his pony!
We spent Sunday with Eric's Aunt Rosie, Uncle Richard, Tammy, Tom, Joe and Mary. Our Christmas celebration with them was postponed so the kids got to open their gifts from them on Sunday. Riley is digging into his gifts.
And Brooke is opening her new Princess outfit. It sure looks warm and snuggly.
Joe got right down on the floor to play with the kids. They had a great time with him.
We had stopped at a ski shop on our way there and Eric couldn't resist taking a photo of the the kids on this chair lift.
Brooke wore her leather jacket for the first time on Sunday. It took some convincing since she really loves her pink jacket but we though tit would look cute with her leopard print skirt. What a gal!
Here are just a couple photos from last week. Here are the kids licking beaters after we made a German chocolate cake on Friday evening. Licking beaters is one of my favorite things in life! I live Riley's tongue in this photo! 
One day last week the kids just wanted to wear sunglasses. Riley doesn't own any so he found these goofy glasses that are really a straw. The kids even wore their glasses to the library.
Uncle Marc and family gave the kids a nice Leapfrog game that plugs into the tv but unfortunately the game didn't work with any of our tvs so we returned it and each kid got their own computer game. Brooke got a Barbie and the Diamond Castle one and Riley got Cars. They have spent hours playing with them already.
