This was New Year Eve's day and that night Marc and Shelly had some of Shelly's relatives over. We had wonderful food (artichoke dip, shepard's pie, shrimp, ham, etc.) and I enjoyed drinking wine with Shelly until 2 am. We watched the ball drop and it was the first year since we had children that I was actually wide awake to see it! Happy New Year!

Girls/Guys Day in Houston
So one day we decided to split up and have a Girls Day and a Guys Day. Eric, Marc, Max and Riley went out for tacos and to the park and ran some various errands. The kids had a great time as you can tell by the photos. The gals (Me, Shelly, Coral and Brooke) went out to lunch and a French bistro. YUM! I had a quiche and tomato basil soup and a little of Shelly's salad. Brooke had strawberries and bread--the picky eater that she is. Then we went and saw The Princess and the Frog. It is the newest Disney princess movie. It was a fine flick and brought me back to my childhood of going to see those movies with my aunts and mom. It was a fun day. Eric had the camera that day so I don't have any photos of the girls.
